Almost nobody here has a commercial yard, and almost everybody has a trailer. Horse and livestock trailers, hay and equipment haulers, tractor decks, sitting on acre lots off Griffin, Volunteer and Dykes Road. Mobile is not a convenience in Southwest Ranches — it is the only sensible way to service a trailer that lives at the back of a paddock.

Tell us the gate, the driveway surface and whether the trailer is level. On acre lots that determines what we can safely jack and what has to be moved first.
Lift the mats. If the wood is dark, soft at the edges or the screws turn without biting, it is going. On aluminium look for white powder and pitting along the seams. Either way, do not load a horse on it while you decide.
Usually, with the trailer on firm level ground. If it is sitting in soft grass or sand we may ask you to pull it onto the pad first, because jacking a loaded trailer on a surface that moves is not something we will do.
Bearings and brakes, in that order, then lights, floor and coupler. Sitting still is harder on a trailer than working — seals dry and drums rust to the shoes.
