Reefer trailer repair & refrigeration service

A reefer that will not hold temperature is a load on a clock. We respond to refrigerated trailers across Broward day and night — unit faults and alarm codes, belts, sensors, drains, door seals, and the trailer side that causes half the temperature complaints: insulation, floors and airflow.

What does reefer trailer repair cost?

Reefer work is priced by whether the unit needs a consumable or a component. A code read and a belt is a short visit; a controller fault or an insulation repair is not. The load clock matters more than either, so we lead with whatever gets the box back to temperature fastest.

What changes the price Sheet 02
FactorWhy it moves the number
What the alarm actually isThe code read comes first. Sensors, belts and fuel faults price nothing like a compressor.
Unit make and generationThermo King and Carrier parts availability differs sharply by model and age.
Whether the load is still goodIf the box is climbing, the priority is temperature, not a perfect repair. We will tell you which we are doing.
Consumable or componentBelts, filters and sensors are quick. Component replacement is hours, often with ordered parts.
Box integritySeals, curtains, wall panels and floors. No unit holds temperature in a leaking box.
Roadside or at your yardA reefer down on I-95 with a live load is the most expensive version of this job.
Time of dayProduce and pharma move at night. After-hours rates apply.

We quote before we start and we do not begin work you have not approved. We do not publish ranges here, because the same job varies too much by trailer, access and hour — call and we will give you a number for your unit.

Why is my reefer not holding temperature?

Nine times out of ten it is not the compressor. It is airflow, a door seal, a blocked drain, a sensor lying to the controller, or a floor that has lost its insulation. Start here before anyone quotes you a unit rebuild.

Call with the unit make, the set point, the actual box temperature and the alarm code. That is enough to load parts before we leave.

How fast do you respond with a loaded reefer?

Loaded reefers go to the front of the queue, 24 hours. Product loss is the expensive part — the repair almost never is — so tell dispatch on the first call that the box is loaded and what it is carrying.

Broward's reefer traffic concentrates on the Copans corridor in Pompano Beach, the Dixie Highway food and beverage blocks in Hollywood, and the port and airport freight docks in Fort Lauderdale. Those are the runs we make daily.

Do you service reefer trailers on a schedule?

Yes, and refrigerated units are the strongest argument for a program. Pre-trip checks, belt and sensor inspection, drain clearing, seal condition and door hardware, on a cycle set against your duty hours — plus the trailer's brakes and lights in the same visit so one vendor covers the unit.
