Broken down on I-95 between the Miami-Dade line and Palm Beach? Call and give us the exit number and your direction of travel. We run this corridor daily and carry the parts that stop trailers on it: brakes, air lines, lamps and bearings.
Broward's stretch of I-95 runs about 24 miles with exits roughly every mile. The exit number is the fastest thing you can give dispatch — it tells us the segment, the shoulder width and which truck is closest.
| Segment | Landmarks | Nearest safe pull-off |
|---|---|---|
| Dade line to Hollywood Blvd | Pembroke Rd, Hallandale Beach Blvd, Hollywood Blvd | Surface lots off Hollywood Blvd and Pembroke Rd — Hollywood |
| Sheridan St to Griffin Rd | Stirling Rd, Sheridan St, the airport approach | Griffin Rd and Stirling Rd frontage — Dania Beach |
| I-595 interchange to Broward Blvd | Davie Blvd, SR-84, the busiest merge in the county | SR-84 frontage road — Fort Lauderdale |
| Sunrise Blvd to Oakland Park Blvd | Sunrise Blvd, Oakland Park Blvd, downtown approach | Andrews Ave and Powerline surface streets — Oakland Park |
| Commercial Blvd to Cypress Creek | Commercial Blvd, Cypress Creek Rd, Executive Airport | Cypress Creek industrial lots |
| Atlantic Blvd to Copans Rd | Atlantic Blvd, Copans Rd, the distribution belt | Copans and Powerline yards — Pompano Beach |
| Sample Rd to the Palm Beach line | Sample Rd, SW 10th St, Hillsboro Blvd | SW 10th St industrial — Deerfield Beach |
If you can still move the trailer safely, getting to one of these pull-offs almost always gets you repaired faster than sitting on the shoulder.
If the trailer is on a narrow left shoulder, in a construction zone, on a bridge or a ramp, or the failure needs the wheels off the ground, it gets relocated before anyone works on it. We will tell you that on the phone rather than send a tech into live lanes.
Interstate roadside costs more than yard work, and it should — the travel, the setup, the cones and the risk are all real. What we will not do is surprise you with it. You get the call-out and the labor rate on the phone before the truck leaves, and a repair number as soon as we can see the failure.
| Factor | Why it moves the number |
|---|---|
| Where you are on the corridor | Travel time is the first cost. The exit number tells us which truck is closest. |
| Shoulder or frontage road | A wide shoulder is workable. A live lane means waiting on FHP, and waiting is time. |
| Time of day | Nights, weekends and holidays carry a premium over a weekday morning. |
| What actually failed | Air, brakes, lights, wheel ends and landing gear are different jobs with different parts. |
| Loaded or empty | A loaded trailer changes what can safely be jacked, supported or removed. |
| Parts on the truck | Common items we carry. An OEM-specific part means a run, and that is billed as time. |
Quoted on the phone before we roll. Trailers only — we do not work on tractors and we do not carry tires.
That is all we need to start moving. Tell us what it is doing and we bring the parts for it.
