Before we get there

If the unit can be moved safely out of a travel lane, use hazard lights and stop where directed by signs or responders. Do not continue with a suspected unsafe defect. Use required commercial-vehicle warning devices only when safe and according to your training.

For Turnpike highway assistance, dial *347. FHP can coordinate Road Rangers where available or other authorized assistance. Call 911 for immediate danger; do not stand outside to flag down a vehicle.

Once out of traffic, stay inside the vehicle if safe and wait for responders. Do not walk around the trailer to inspect or photograph damage beside live traffic.
